Dr. Wesley O’Brien
Dr. Wesley O’Brien, is a Senior Lecturer in Physical Education and Coaching Science, working in the School of Education, at University College Cork (UCC). He is the Programme Director for the B.Ed. in Physical Education, Sports Studies and Arts Degree at UCC, and is currently supervising postgraduate research in the fields of physical education, wellbeing, physical activity, physical literacy and sport participation. Wesley is a member of the National Development Committee with the Ladies Gaelic Football Association, is a current coach with the Cork Senior Camogie Team, and serves as a Board Director with the Cork Sports Partnership.

Dr. Tandy Jane Haughey
Tandy Jane Haughey is a Senior Lecturer in Coaching and Sports Development at Ulster University, demonstrating a robust profile in research, teaching, and academic enterprise. Her work primarily focuses on mental health and wellbeing in sport, women and girls' participation in sport, and physical literacy development, with significant contributions to policy and programme development in these areas. Tandy is actively involved in knowledge transfer activities, disseminating evidence-based coaching practices through collaborations with key stakeholders. She champions civic engagement through projects like #ActiveFitSporty, aimed at increasing women and girls' participation in sport, impacting communities beyond academia which has contributed to policy development informing and supporting strategic documents for sport. Her commitment to addressing gender disparities lead her to present the findings Internationally at the IASPESGW World Congress showcasing how partnership approaches can support and extend engagement in activity from a participation and leadership perspective.
